As companies and the United States Government's Internet sites and networks are under increased terrorist attacks from so-called Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, Cyber Operations announced the availability of real-time prevention against Distributed Denial of Service attacks via their Anti-Network Terrorism (A.N.T.) technology. A.N.T. provides on-the-fly network protection against Distributed Denial of Service attacks. The technology provides real-time detection that prevents DDoS flood interruptions while having minimal impact on normal network operations. A self-learning, artificial intelligence-based technology, A.N.T. includes a stored database of DDoS signatures with the ability to learn new signatures "on-the-fly," This enables A.N.T to operate as a stand-alone system or in unison with other A.N.T. systems, sharing signature information with all installed databases. Cyber Operations is a Jupiter, Florida-based technology research and development company focused on creating market-dominating technologies that enable a broad spectrum of global commercial applications. These technologies are based upon a disciplined approach with proven sciences encompassing self-learning networks, compression algorithms, optical components and intelligent data management systems. Cyber Operations is privately held.

Bayer
Provides Cipro to USA.
Bayer works to develop Ciprobay drug to fight
Anthrax. Bayer Corporation has reached an agreement to supply up
to 300 million tablets of Cipro to the U.S. government. The company said it
signed the historic agreement with Secretary Tommy G. Thompson of the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services.Bayer has also donated two million tablets of Cipro to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for emergency workers working on the frontlines in the fight against anthrax. Another two million tablets have been donated to postal workers who may have been exposed to anthrax-laden envelopes. Under the terms of the agreement valued at $95 million, HHS will pay 95 cents per tablet, for a total initial order of 100 million tablets. This is compared to a previously discounted price of $1.77 per tablet paid by the federal government. Bayer said that it will rotate the government's inventory, as part of this agreement, to assure the American public a continuously fresh supply of Cipro. This inventory rotation adds an additional value of 30 percent for the government, which is included in the agreement. Helge H. Wehmeier, President and CEO of Bayer Corporation, said, "Bayer is fully committed to supporting America in its war on bioterrorism. This agreement between Bayer and the Department of Health and Human Services is an important security measure that will enable the nation to have in its stockpile ample supplies of Cipro to combat the threat of anthrax. Cipro has become the standard for anthrax treatment. The men and women of Bayer are 100% committed to delivering this vital antibiotic to the U.S. government on schedule." HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson said, "I commend the Bayer Corporation for its ongoing efforts to ensure a fully adequate supply of this valuable product. This agreement means that a much larger supply of this important pharmaceutical product will be available if needed." The agreement with HHS, calls for Bayer to manufacture and ship 100 million tablets of Cipro by year-end. The U.S. has an option to purchase an additional 200 million tablets of Cipro. The government already has a large stockpile of Cipro for use in its fight against anthrax. American Utilicraft Responds to Pentagon Request to Provide Solutions to Combat Terrorism. American Utilicraft Corporation announced that it has responded to a U.S. Pentagon request for U.S. companies to submit proposals, to combat the threat of terrorism in the U.S. American Utilicraft's submission was made in response to a press release issued by the U.S. Government. "If requested, we are committed to working quickly and expeditiously with the U.S. Government in providing solutions to remove potentially dangerous and life-threatening cargo from passenger aircraft," stated John Dupont, President and CEO. "Although the FF-1080 is primarily intended to serve the short-haul feeder segments of the air-cargo industry, we anticipate that the Aircraft will also serve as a valuable tool in helping to reduce the threat of terrorism. We expect that, upon completion, the FF-1080's proprietary design and systems will have the capacity to accommodate certain unfulfilled `new' requirements in our `new' world," Dupont concluded.
